Re: Because we Love Breasts!
I haven't had a mammogram yet, but get my yearly physical with a boob check. I'm 33, so I don't think I'm supposed to get them every year yet. But I clicked.
Know what I think they should spend money on? Better testing/scanning methods. Apparently it's a bit like getting your tit caught in one of those old fashioned washing machine wringers. Ouch. Okay, so maybe not quite that bad, but it's less than comfortable. Guys get a little lube on a glove and a quick ass check (we get the same sort of treatment with our yearly monkey check). A little humbling, but whatever. You can bet they don't scan men's balls the same way! The test itself puts people off, I think. And I have to wonder if the whole procedure of crushing the breast and then irradiating it isn't causing its own damage year after year.
But will I be getting my mammogram at 40? Yes, I'm sure I will. Like I said, I'm just hoping they will have made some improvements before then.
