Default Re: Sex on her period??

I'm really a big believer in research. My concern about research surrounding pharmaceuticals is that "he who pays the piper, calls the tune". I haven't seen a bunch of research that WASN'T funded by the pharmaceutical industry.

The Cochrane Library reports six randomized controlled trials that were worth including in their analysis of continuous oral contraceptive use. Their summary states: "The studies were too small to address efficacy, rare adverse events, and safety. Continuous pill-taking (for more than 28 days) appears to be a reasonable approach to oral contraception."

Here is another quote I found:

"When you tamper with the way the body works naturally you can't predict long-term outcome until you study long-term outcome. And right now we don't have that data."

I just like to be careful around these things. Might it seem a little over the top to tamper with our hormonal levels so that we can go to parties to have sex with strangers?

Believe me, when I planned my weekend away last weekend, I was holding my breath I wouldn't get my period. I'm SO happy that I didn't get it, and I had a FANTASTIC weekend! As an aside, we went to Hedo North (Hedo North 2008 - A Truly Hedonistic Experience).
