Ok...but technically it is what you said. "Sorry, but I'm broken"....yes, I've heard others use it and we all know what they are implying without having to come right out and say "period", "bleeding", or the ever scientifically correct "menstruation" (altho to be honest, I've yet to actually hear someone say that word or any derivative thereof

But in saying that it does imply that you are not functioning correctly or are damaged in some way...and I believe the point that avid was trying to drive home is that women aren't damaged or functioning incorrectly, quite the contrary.
