I think it's nice that Swingtown is opening the door for couples who will probably benefit from the openness that swinging provides.
But at the same time I can't help being annoyed. There's just something more alluring about a person who chose to explore the lifestyle "before it was cool" and didn't need network television to popularize it before it became an option. Kind of like so many college-age girls are now mysteriously "bi-sexual" because it's the hip thing to do.
With swingers it's almost like there's two kinds: The real ones, and the followers.
Sure, none of us invented it... but a person who needed it to be cool on TV before they searched it out for themselves? Kind of like the women who buy fake Chanel and Luis Vuitton in Chinatown.
