I've been under the impression that you were a single girl, so who was this "partner" that you were there with? I'd say from his various actions and attitudes he doesn't sound like a boyfriend (or someone who really cares about you), more just someone to go to the club with. From all that I just read, I think you might actually have a better time there on your own or just going with another couple that you aren't tied to for the night.
