When a two couples are chatting, sometimes etiquette isn't quite what it should be when others stop by to chat with you. It may be okay to say hi and haven't seen you in a while. But to sit down and stay too long for whatever the reason may be a little impolite.

There have been times when this happened to us. Sometimes someone is just bored, doesn't know anyone else or whatever. When you see two couples together it may be good to leave them alone. You will have to play it by ear.

The two couples may be trying to get to know each other and don't need distractions. Or they may be old friends just trying to catch up.
