I really think I'd like to live in Washington State. I do NOT like hot weather and wouldn't you know? I live in Florida. Mrs. Oly, where did you live previously and was it a hard adjustment for you to make initially?

WA is beautiful and I have no plans of turning back. Yikes! Florida! I've always wanted to visit the Keys and take home a 6-toed cat (huge Hemingway fan!). But, I've been to the South, and I can't stand the humidity...I don't know how you do it. I've lived in lots of places; the last place was Idaho. Not too far way, but a continent's worth of difference! I grew up vaguely Catholic...but suddenly when I was dropped in the middle of southern Idaho, I came across a species known as the Mormon. Now, I try hard not to be judgmental (who am I kidding, I'm completely judging!), but, I have never lived in a place where I truly felt like the unwelcome minority until I lived there. I spent 4 years trying desperately to get out. So I moved to northern Idaho...and to my chagrin, found we were in the midst of a neo-nazi sect (the even had parades!). I think they no longer have quite as many members calling that beautiful country home, but, I don't think I'd ever go back, just the same.
