You sounds a lot like us. I also had past experience and my hubby & I have been swinging together now for just over a year. We have yet to go to a house party together but we prefer on-premise clubs to M&Gs/Socials for this very reason. We like the option to play if things click, but we don't want to be in a situation where we feel that it's expected (which is often the case at house parties). Like you, when we do find others to play with we typically prefer to do so in a private room. That said, we have no qualms playing with each other in a public room.

Is the club near you on-premise? If so, I'd suggest trying again to visit it (planning ahead to avoid aunt flo if possible).
