Just from a courtesy standpoint, I feel that making another waste their time waiting for you is always unacceptable. In this modern age of technology there is no excuse to not let a person know that something has come up or to reschedule your meeting time.
As a UNICORN, I must say that I have never stood anyone up. I don't agree to meet with many people either. If I don't feel comfortable after chatting via e-mail or phone then I don't waste my time. It is better to be safe then sorry. I turned a couple down once and the next thing I knew I began receiving nasty-grams (rude e-mails) from them because they were pissed that rejected them. I blocked their profile on line and they opened a new account in order to send me more hate mail. That experience set in motion a lot of rules and regulations that I continue to live by today.
Bottom line, she should've called and she should've been ashamed about the fact that she didn't.
