Yep, go with Julie's advice.
Sounds like you have a great thing going here, you know the hosts and like them and also know a number of the guests. That's a great start! I wouldn't want to miss that party!
From our experience, it isn't unusual for people to have a couple of engagements in one evening and split the night up between them.
Give them a ring-a-ling after you're through with your earlier commitment and take it from there.
