Hi All..Ok you've prodded me into responding, I thoroughly enjoy reading all the posts and see that there are some quite interesting and intelligent people out there, I have learned much from you all. I do feel somewhat like many who have finally responded that I don't have much to contribute at this time, I think though that this board is a very healthy way for you all to express your views on sex and other issues.
I have been through many interesting times and lived through the hippy free sex period of the late 60s and early 70s,I lived and travelled in India for a number of years and have lived in communes both in Europe and the US were sexual encounters were the norm, I indulged and like a kid in a candy shop I tried a bit of everything. I think the one lesson I learned from that period was that indulgence is far healthier than repression but after a time indulgence itself becomes a sort of trap..its like suddenly discovering a dark room in your house that you didnt know existed and you are afraid to go into it so you settle for hanging around in the doorway.. I've come to understand that sex is that doorway..its the key..eventually as a society moves from repression towards indulgence, the momentum is set in place that eventually swings it back to repression.. so we move back and forth like a pendulum clock..'repression , indulgence, repression, indulgence.. I think we are at a very good point in our society to stop the pendulum and move in from the doorway..
I'm not sure if this makes any sense to any one here but thats what came out, my apologies to you all if I offend
