We have been to Desire Cancun twice, once when there was a semi-take over by a swing group and the other no organized groups. If you are interested in meeting people in the Lifestyle, I suggest that you go to the Desire website to the forum and see if there are any groups going at the time you guys will be there. I joined a club on line that is from Texas (we live in NY) just to chat with some people that we may be meeting (I recently broke an ankle so we had to change our plans).
We met some people that had been to Hedo and they stated that Desires was a 'bit' calmer but that was during our non group vacation.
As for the social rules of engagement they are the same the world over "No means NO"
