We've got young 'uns and have to plan ahead for sitters, so last minute doesn't work too well for us, either.
But in a budget crunch, we're more likely to invite some play friends over for dinner and . . . whatever else happens . . . happens. Like Socolais said, with the right attitude, anything can be fun (Mmmm . .. Smores!)
