Swinging for how long?:
Well, it is hard to say given we’ve stopped and started based on interest, etc., like many do. Further, given the occasional debate over the true definition of the term “swinging”, some would say our open marriage and implementation of the same does not qualify as swinging.
So, perhaps it’s easiest to say that I/we have not exercised the traditional monogamy-based marriage since mid-2004. That should cover it!
Prefer to swing with:
I’m kind of reserved and quiet, and I really just prefer those who aren’t pushy and who are more laid back than I am. Being a good conversationalist, intelligent, funny (I enjoy sarcasm quite a bit) and easy on the eyes is a great mix to me. It’s hard to describe what I prefer – I simply know it when I see it. The Spousal Unit is far more outgoing/open than I am and has a much easier time meeting and talking with people, so his preferences are quite different than mine.
Biggest Pet Peeve:
I can only have one? But today is one of those days in which everything peeves me!
Bad drivers… okay, pretty much any driver on the road besides me, my neighbors, people telling me to “relax”, people at work who take the elevator for to go up or down ONE floor, people who bring very small ill-behaved children to a $25 and up entrée type of restaurant, jerks, people who mistake quiet people as snobs or as rude… okay, I'll stop.
Brief Intro:
I am an almost-middle-aged semi-professional member of the middle class. I spend most of my time worrying, fretting, overthinking, obsessing and overplanning, and augment all of that with an unnatural and probably unhealthy side obsession with cleaning, legal research, making money, travel, carb-counting and all things internet.
I am a typical Virgo and fit my ISTJ type descriptor rather well – I am on the extreme side of all four measures. My “Big 5” (OCEAN) score (the test my spouse as a psychologist likes better than Myer-Briggs) is even worse. All three probably explain the whole overthinking/control freak side of me. And the judgmental biatch part, too.
Otherwise known as an "...average everyday sane psycho and supergoddess...", in Liz Phair speak.
