You couldn't say that either of us brought it up first. At the time it was more of an extension of a very active sex life. From the beginning we knew we had a sexual attraction to other people, and eventually it evolved into swinging. After that we were swinging at least a couple of times a month. When our youngest came along. we took a break for about 15 years or so. We didn't talk much (or even at all) about swinging during that time, then one day it came up as though we had never done it before. When we first started swinging we went to "socials" sponsored by a local swing club. you went to the social at a bar, hoping to meet another couple that you could go home with, or bring to your home. You had to get used to going home "empty-handed". Other then that, you put an ad in the personals section of an alternative newspaper, and had responses sent to a blind post office box. We were shocked when we discovered the extent to which the internet has influenced swinging, and even more shocked at finding on-premise clubs in Atlanta. Fifteen years ago it was unthinkable, and now you have a choice among several. So we would have to say that after that amount of time, it was definitely starting from scratch.
