Default Brazilian wax didn't hurt that much!

Just had to say that I read everything I could here and elsewhere regarding getting waxed. I tend to be very hirsute and it grows in really thick and fast. I hate shaving, so, I finally decided to take the plunge and go for it.

I took my 2 Tylenol and cancelled everything for the afternoon out of concern that I would not be able to walk - after reading a few posts suggesting that it would be tantamount to child birth.

Well, I should say that my son was born in a military teaching hospital, my 2 epidural attempts hit a major nerve each time causing horrible pain, and they still didn't work. So, I had 3 hours of pushing with natural childbirth to deliver a nearly 9 pound baby.

But....even though I started my period today (I heard this increases pain sensitiviy), it wasn't that bad at all!!

Sure it stung like hell for a few seconds, but nothing major. I would still rather have a Brazilian wax for the very first time than a root canal.

I imagine that much of the experience is dependent upon personal pain tolerance and the skills of the aesthetician. But I would encourage any woman thinking about it to go for it - after getting personal referrals.

I look forward to touching myself - and having hubby do so, too - but will still wait until tomorrow!
