My guess is that he may feel hurt/betrayed that you felt you had to come here and ask your question rather than being able to just bring it up to him as you had your other ideas. The idea that you told someone else before you told him, maybe.
Just keep talking. If he's been open thus far regarding your fantasies I'm sure he will continue to help you explore others.
