I think a lot of women have the viewpoint that if they are with a man who "can't get it up," it's a reflection on them. I've been with one person who had issues (and he was even a youngin') and it was nerves. Once the anxiety wore off, all was fine. I felt bad for him because it was clear to me he was feeling pressure to perform.

When these things happen with our own partners, we're close enough to talk about it, and play around it. But if you're with a couple for the first time and it happens, it does make you wonder if you're doing it for the guy.

To answer your question ... No, you are absolutely not less than a man. And what one hell of a subject to have to bring up on a first date. Ugh.
