I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember the old bottles of Nair. They actually told you "Do not use on
mucous membranes". It is fine for using on the outer areas, but not on the inner areas of the genitalia. I use Nair everywhere except the inner area. I shave the inside of my outer lips, and have no problem with razor rash. I think if has to do with the fact it is a mucous membrane.
Any depilatory can burn your skin if you over use it, or leave it on too long. Try putting a washcloth in hot water, wring out the excess water, and put in on the area you are going to apply the Nair to first. This will soften the hair, and make it more succeptible to the depilatory. You don't want the area wet, but you want the hair soft. The Nair will act faster, and easier.
