I totally believe you would have.... lol... and I can't say I wouldn't be right there with you. Unfortunately, this happens a lot and I think sometimes people just don't know what they are doing wrong unless they are told. I think at some point after he kept tracking you down through the night I would have had to say "Look, we just aren't interested in you.". Then if he asked why, you could tell him where he went wrong with you. Bear in mind that what turns one person off another may find attractive and just because it failed with you doesn't mean his personality won't be a hit with someone else.
