Where as my wife and I are the opposite. We need to connect on a mental and emotional level and have sex that is both passionate and caring. We want to be able to hang out afterwards, or get dressed and go see a movie or whatever. We don't like sex that ends with "well, thanks, gott go."

We are essentially looking for the same thing in our extracurricular sex partners that we would look for in a relationship. It's simply understood that the emotional line beyond friendship will not be crossed.
