Hi cologypsy,

I had a bodylift. I had exactly the same questions you have about getting back to swinging after the surgery & scars. I searched for a thread I started about this. This was almost a year ago: New scars and swinging
I think you'll like the answers here!

As an update to that, it's been 17 months since that big surgery for me (15 months for my husband). The lines are very faded now. We no longer think to tell people about them before anything happens. But, for months following the surgery we both had, we briefed playmates before we got naked (our scars were more extensive than a tummy tuck).

People told us after the fact that they were glad we told them, because if we hadn't, they would have noticed, wondered what the heck that was, why we had twin scars, and would have been distracted. The way we handled it, the scars didn't bother anybody at all. One woman told me afterward, while we were all laying around together talking, that she would have been "taken aback" if we hadn't told. She told me of having been with another couple before, and the wife had a tummy tuck scar (from the way she described it). She asked her questions about it, the woman got tight-lipped and wouldn't say what it was. Then, she went on to ask me tons of questions, as she was considering the surgery for herself. I have LOVED the results and haven't regretted it for a minute.

Just 4 months ago, I had to have surgery to remove a very large ovarian tumor (19 cm long), as well as my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The doctor was going to cut my abdomen all up with an inverted T to get the tumor out, but I fought it and got it knocked down to a bikini cut. So, on the same line as my faded bodylift scar, I've got a fresh red line that's probably about the length of your tummy tuck scar. *sigh*

The few people we've played with since my recent recovery know about my surgery and the reason for it. They're great people, and I have no reservations with them at all. However, I'm not inclined right now to prance around totally nude in front of complete strangers, like in a club. (I'm just not ready for that.) There are easy ways to conceal a scar like this with lingerie, allowing you to look very sexy, able to have sex with the lingerie on, and stay within your comfort zone. If you play with strangers around, this is a great solution. Things like crotchless panties or a garter belt can cover it up just right. The best part about doing something like this is that you can put your scar completely out of your mind, relax, and focus on the things you want to focus on.

Best wishes to you, and happy healing.
