I used to be lactose intolerant. Then I had my gall bladder removed. Now when I eat the wrong foods, intolerance has given way to a lactose hate crime being committed in my duodenum...

We were going to have guests recently and Mrs Spoo makes this delicious bean dip... But I have to tell you I had visions of barking spiders all over my house and advised her against it. Now - if my vanilla friends think of me as a gas bag, I could care less. But I would be mortified to think of the disaster a swing-date would be with the wrong combinations of foods.

On the plus side, though, I've lost an awful lot of weight and am getting rid of my "gut" since having the surgery. But ice cream is a treat best served in solitude...
