We are looking for friendships as well, but I don't think we're going to invest six months of non-playing pursuit to achieve that goal. If we hit it off, great! If not, I think we could still play and leave friendship out of it.

I guess we are looking for a core group of friends, and then the rest will merely become acquaintances.
