A good zinfandel or merlot port accompanied by a really good dark semi-sweet chocolate.
Four Vines Winery in Paso Robles has a very good Zin/Syrah port that we serve with
Ghirardelli 60% cacao bittersweet chips. We also get fresh strawberries, melt the chocolate, and serve them to each other with port.
Hunt Cellars in Paso Robles also has some killer ports.
Montevina also makes a very good, reasonably priced Zinfandel port, for larger parties when you don't want to be opening $40-$50 bottles of port.
