I thought it was pretty sound advice. I've also trained in some self-defense...and it's something I try to avoid using. I'd make sure you brought your husband along if you plan on doing this in the future.
Meeting alone,even in a public place, is not something I would be comfortable with my wife doing. Maybe if I am hiding in the background watching.
