Personally, I'd tell you to advise him to shove it up his ass. Or, I'd tell him that I need to meet his wife alone first, just to make sure he is on the "up and up".

Sure I would.
But - is this the type of situation that makes ANY sense in the lifestyle? No - not at all. Even with the husbands "watching" this is a four person experience. All four people need to meet. If he is not okay with this, then there are plenty of folks to play with.
Don't let your eagerness to have this new experience make you do something you regret.
