I'm a guy, but I get waxed. I get waxed about every 6 -8 weeks. While I prefer to be smooth, I don't have the time to get waxed more often. Also it needs to be long enough for the wax to grab onto. As far as the pain, it really depends. Sometimes it hurts like hell, other times it's not bad at all. No ryme or reason.
