Mystic, it sounds like you are having some success from your hard work.

A couple of pieces of advice. A sincere "hello" and a smile open more doors and conversations than anything.

Life is like baseball. You play a lot of games over a year, and you're gonna lose a lot. It's just part of the game. At this point, I think a friendly conversation would be a win for you.

Check with your local college also. They might have classes on etiquette and social skills.

Keep a smile and a positive attitude. Sometimes people act the way they feel and sometimes they feel the way they act.
