I hate to break it to you, but as a late bloomer myself (had my first girlfriend and date when I was 19), you won't be successfull until you are able to embrace the rejection. What I mean by that is that you are going to hear a lot of no's or not interested's before you hear a yes, so you might as well man up, ask the girls out, and get those rejections behind you. Until you can do that, I doubt you will ever get a girl friend.
