I found this very interesting, and am wondering how you came to this belief. |
While I've graduated from believing what I was told, to thinking for myself, there are still some things I've retained from childhood. The suggestion that everyone would eventually know everything about you was from my Mom, who is very religious. Apparently it's a concept from the bible, but don't ask me to quote the exact passage, because I've never seen it to be honest. I have no idea whether or not this notion is biblically based (anyone who knows for certain, please let me know!), but whether it is true or not, I like the idea. It's very scary. Very sobering. I like that I'll be held accountable for the life I've chosen to lead. Having it projected onto an enormous screen for so many people to see was simply the most horrifying way I could imagine my...um...less glorious moments to be portrayed. Of course, it probably won't work that way; I know whe have all of eternity to go through the home movies of every person who ever lived, but come ON! I thought this was supposed to be heaven, not hell! Nah, I think people will just suddenly "see". All that is "you" will be there to read like an open book. No hiding.

I don't have a lot of time to read, actually. See, when I do settle in with a good book, NOTHING gets done around me. Life stops. Laundry piles up, kids get hungry, the dog needs to go for a walk...The house could burn down around me, and I wouldn't notice. I get pretty lost in a good read. The last 3 books I read were all Stephen King. Mind candy. He's just a really good writer, and I admire his writing style, even though horror isn't exactly my passion. Aside from this, I like reading non-fiction. Particularly about the human psyche, the human body, human history, ancient civilizations, etc. If it demonstrates the human condition and our potential, where we've been and where we're going, I'll read it. Humans are fascinating creatures. I am not WELL read, but I do enjoy what little reading I get to do.
Mr. intuition enjoys reading too. The guy can zip through a book in no time flat. He prefers factual books to fiction. True crime, biographies of successful people, etc. He's currently reading an enormous book on poker strategy (currently a real passion for him).

I don't know. I really like Canada and have lived here all my life, as has Mr. intuition. We'd both want to move somwhere that we'd still have snow at Christmas time. Not to hot nor cold, and preferably no snakes or spiders. At the very least, they must be non-venemous and and spiders can't be those huge ugly hairy things (bleccchhh!! I actually shivered. Now I'll have to check my bed before crawling into it). Europe perhaps. Some parts of Italy look absolutely gorgeous, as well as France. And the history to be studied in that part of the world would be amazing.
