My dad was probably the best example of 'how to live a life' that I have ever witnessed. He saw and went through a lot in his lifetime... born in the 20s, a teenager during the Depression, drafted into WWII, in a loveless and childless marriage before he met and married my mother, went through lots of ups and downs as an independent businessman. Through it all though, he was always the most positive person. He definitely had a 'can do' spirit, that I believe lives on in my brothers and me to this day.
When I was younger, I'd often race into his office with my hair on fire about something. One thing I can often hear him saying inside my head is "Don't worry... everything will work out as it should." He realized that you can expend a lot of energy on being worried, when if you just step back and take a look at the situation, it will probably work out for the best anyhow, whether by your own efforts or just by fate. Of course, we don't always think that at the time... but that's another challenge!
