Default Re: I have sensitive skin, can anyone help?

My problem is not the skin irritation, rashes and bumps, though I do get those at times. I normally use Nair, and I have had to find exactly the right length of time to leave it on … long enough to remove all the hair, but not so long as to burn and leave my skin raw and red. I have determined that for me and my skin type, 10 minutes is the absolute longest I can leave it on. It’s the “4-minute” cream that I use, but 4 minutes doesn’t come close to removing all the hair.

Now, for my problem … when I do shave, which is not often at all (because of the problem that I am about to iterate), I inevitably will get these huge, painful cysts from ingrown hairs. I have had to have them lanced in the emergency room, and even had to have a couple of them surgically removed. We are talking HUGE … like the size of a golf ball (how sexy is that for swingers???). And they hurt so bad!!! Depending on where it is located between my pubes and my thigh, there have been occasions that I haven’t been able to even walk!!!!

I have done searches on this site and on others to no avail on how I can alleviate these things. I hate using Nair, and much prefer the convenience of shaving, but cannot deal with these painful cysts. I have gotten Coochie Cream (sux), I have tried shaving in the direction of hair growth (they still happen AND the shave isn’t as smooth). I haven’t tried waxing because of embarrassment , so I am looking for any help that anyone who also may experience this horrible thing may be able to provide. HELP
