Re: Male Hair Removal Hubby here: started shaving just this past winter and am not/would not ever go back to unshaved. I like how it looks and feels, not having to deal with sweat and bunching up in my shorts. More importantly, my wife loves it! She keeps hers tightly trimmed also.
The technique I used first time around was to use scissors to trim down as close as I could then buzzed it with the electric razor. Once I was down to the stubble level it was off to the shower and I liberally applied shaving gel then shaved it with a new razor. Believe it or not I simply grabbed one of my wife's disposable Gillette CustomPlus razors and that worked great.
Nowadays I shave every other day and continue using the CustomPlus razors. I shave in the shower and just lather up with soap. As others have already mentioned, go slow. Shaving down there is not the same as shaving your face, obviously, and the long smooth strokes you use on your face is not as effective. I use very short strokes. As Vespertine said, don't bother shaving your butt. I considered it, but thought about the aftermath of having to deal with stubbles in an enclosed area. I quickly nixed that idea.
One more thing. Don't forget to lotion up afterwards. Check to see what works for you. See what your wife uses. My wife had a bottle of Bath & Body Works "Moonlight Path" body lotion that she didn't like the smell on her, but smells masculine and musky on me, so I've stuck with it since. Good luck! |
