Writing all that and looking through all the pictures C and I took provided something of a catharsis for me. I can now skim through those pictures without getting totally emotionally involved. However, if I look through them more slowly, so I have time to think about what I'm really looking at, some of those gut-wrenching emotions return.
Just last night, almost three weeks after the great event, A and I were looking at them and I was touching up a few in Photoshop—cropping them and adjusting the exposure and sharpness—and we both started getting all hot and bothered all over again. We wound up attacking each other in a ferocious bout of wild passion even though it was very late, we were tired, we'd polished off a full bottle of wine, and I hadn't taken any Viagra! Those pictures are still a tremendous aphrodisiac for us.
