The Peaks of Otter observation deck at sunrise. This is a popular tourist attraction on the east side of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Bedford VA, where you get the most beautiful views of sunrise from a point more than 3,875 feet above sea level. Begin the hike to the top about 4:30 am in the summer dark (Before 6am in winter) and arrive at the summit about 30 minutes before the sun peaks above the horizon.
