Just curious, why would you think that it would affect the childs mental health?
I would think that the biggiest risk would be injuring yourself. You are in a delicate state and while sex itself won't hurt you, you will be with different people other than your husband who may not be as sensitive and gentle with you as he would. Also, Sex can induce contractions toward the end of your pregnacy. Be careful with that. Toward the end of my wifes pregnacy the mid wife told us to "have at it." She said it was a good labor inducer. Tread carefully.
