Many of those websites are "dweebsites"...commercial websites that have nothing whatsoever to do with swinging, other than to satiate some men's fantasy about "doing another guys wife." There are guys who are as turned on by a womans marital status as by any physical characteristic. They'll go after a married woman the same way another guy will be attracted to a blonde or redhead. Swing clubs are full of those kind of guys...which is one reason we wouldn't go there looking for a single male.
The Yahoo Groups are a little different. An ex-girlfriend and I were briefly involved with one in which there were several "hot wives" as you describe them. The only problem is...they weren't exactly "hot" to anybody except maybe a guy who was looking for a no-strings quickie, or to a guy as described above...one who had a fixation on other mens wives. The sense I got from those women was that they were basically insecure and attention starved, and that their status as a "hot wife" who "played alone" granted them that attention...a great DEAL of attention! The husbands attitude about the whole thing reminded me more of a guy who was "letting his dog go outside for a while" than one who cared much about what his wife was doing or with whom. It brought to mind an old line by the comedian Henny Youngman (but often mistakenly credited to Rodney Dangerfield) ...

Our theory is that a number of baby boomer men are becoming either unwilling or unable to perform sex with their wives on a regular basis as they age, so they adapt by learning to appreciate the extra-curricular activities of their wives.

That might have been true a few years ago, but the recent developement of dick-altering drugs like Viagra and Cialis have given men of almost any age the ability to have erections.
What they won't do is make the guy want to take the pill in the first place.
I once heard a psychologist say that "of all the sexual problems between couples that a therapist might encounter,
a lack of desire is the hardest to treat, and has the least chance of success." All of which makes me believe there may be some truth in the "Some guys are just TIRED of fucking them" argument.
