Funny how a vast majority of these threads come down to communication. Good points have been made by all so far. It all comes down to this: Talk to each other. Each of you have a hand in making the rules and stick with them. Then, after the experience, if the bar moves in one direction or another, great. Then reassess and make a new set of guidelines based on your comfort level. And so on, and so on...
Believe it, if both of you have a good time within the guidelines, the experience will be well worth it.
