If your just up to the Lunatic Cafe, you have a lot of fun a head of you, as well as, a lot of getting pissed, . I don't want to give anything away, but it gets better. Don't worry about Gretel, you get to see her again, lol.

I have read the whole series at least five times, new book scheduled to come out spring of next year. Yes, Kiss of Shadows is the first book in the fairy series. Meredeth, the main character, has a totally different attitude than Anita, I think you might like her.

I haven't read any of her other books, althouth I am a mild Trekie fan, lol. And yes, to see the series on TV or a movie, I would love.

Anytime you want to discuss the books, I am more than happy to do so, I love living in Hamilton's worlds They are a great break from reality, not to mention the hot sex scences in them I just love the way her main charcters are women, surrounded by hot gorgeous men.

He was surprised that I hadn't read any of hers since I've read all of Rice, PN Elrod, the Vampire Twin series (can't remember who wrote that one), Michael Romkey, Amanda Ashley and Christine Feehan. I told him if he would try Feehan, I would try Hamilton. Now he's also hooked on Feehand and I'm hooked on Hamilton.

You may enjoy Feehan. She's writes gothic romances and this Vampire romance series. Her protagonists are Carpanthians from the Carpanthian Mountain region in Europe. They need blood to live on, sleep during the day, etc but live in a world of black and white until they meet their lifemate. Upon meeting their lifemate color is restored to them (that's how they know who they're lifemate is). If they don't find their lifemate they turn into vampires, horrible horrible vampires. The males of the species spend their lives hunting down those that have turned to kill them. Oh, all lifemates have something about them such as being clairvoyant, etc etc and the lifemates are turned to Carpanthians by the third step in the ritual of claiming a lifemate. Feehan's books contain a lot of physical fighting and the love scenes are very, very erotic and the male Carpanthians are to die for. If you decide to try one, get the first in the series, Dark Prince. I so dislike reading a series out of order.

My goal is to have all of Hamilton's Anita Blakes done by the time the new one is released. I don't buy hardbacks if I know a book will eventually come out in paperback (basically because I buy 20-30 books a month) and her next one is scheduled in hardback first. With the paperback to be released a year later.

I have heard that Richard gets into legal troubles later on down the line of books and that Anita feels she must rescue him. You know, for some broad who thinks she has it all together and is some tough ass, she sure is a dolt at times. And the men are to die for in these books, literally. Jean-Claude is just so damn smooth and suave. Richard is so sexy and caring. <sigh> I wanna live in Anita Blake's world!!
