How to find new friends in Iowa who are swingers

My wife and I have looked at a swinger club near by and have discussed things like swinging and mmf but wonder how to meet like-minded people who are new to it or into becoming friends and then exploring where it goes. She'd be super nervous about meeting people online so I'm not sure how to get things going for us but the talk gets us both excited! Also hard being we live in Iowa small town! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Check the listings for clubs above. There, however, only seems to be one in Iowa and it's in Cedar Rapids (not knowing what small town you are from). After this, it sounds like you need to find a house party or meet and greet that's being held near you. The best way to do this is to join an on-line swinger site (use 'find swingers' above). Most likely being in the mid west you should sign up for SwingerZone Central...it's our understanding that its more mid-western, but then both SZC and SLS are free to join so it doesn't hurt to sign up for both. I know you don't want to find people online, but by signing up you should be able to find some gatherings you can attend. Hope that points you in a direction.

A good club would probably be great way to test the waters, but you have the same problem a lot of us do and that is they don't have a good on-premise club a short drive away. One solution to that is to just make a weekend getaway out of your club visit, which makes for a nice weekend together. The other would be to use one of the online sites like SLS, SZC, or Swingtowns to find off-premise clubs, house parties, etc. closer to home to where you don't have to make a long weekend trip out of it if you don't want to. The online sites are for finding swingers, so they have more options to offer their members than just the online profile type of searching.

Since it sounds like you are most comfortable with the "friends first" approach to swinging, then I'd suggest you lean more toward the off-premise type events that are closer to home. That way you can regularly attend and see familiar faces and start to make some new friends.

You've gotten some good advice already! Also, I want to encourage you to consider meeting people through the swinger meetup Web sites (in addition to the ones cplnuswing recommended, you might want to consider SDC, APG, Kasidie, or Quiver). I understand your wife's reluctance, and there are enough horror stories about CraigsList to give anyone pause! But my wife and I are living proof that you can successfully meet people online! As people who were initially more shy, we found the he idea of meeting couples one-on-one to be more comfortable, and less intimidating, than meeting a huge group at a club. As long as you arrange to meet people for the first time at a public venue like a bar or restaurant, you should have no problems with being and feeling safe. And if you have a little bit of conversation online before you meet in person, you will hopefully have some idea that you are potentially compatible beforehand. And in any case, as cplnuswing mentioned, membership in one or more of those Web sites will give you a way to find out about nearby clubs and meet-and-greet events.

I Love Iowa, but finding anyone is extremely difficult. I am a bi married guy, would love to play with a couple or another bi married guy. My current wife would never understand or participate in anyway. I look forward to making new friends.

It sounds like you are talking about cheating on your wife.  That kind of thing is wrong, and risks blowing up your relationship with your wife.  Please talk to your wife about this, and don’t have sex with anyone else without your wife’s knowledge and consent.
